Finally, the new term is up! Everything went very smoothly in transaction, no problems at all. Now, we have several things that are changed, you can refer to the PM sent out yesterday, or check the thread out in the announcements to see what went down in the few hours the site was inaccessible. Classes have started, students must attend them!

So yeah, this is the New Term we've all been hyped about. I don't speak for everyone, but I definitely think I was the most pumped for this. Loads of changes have been made, the complete list should be in the Announcements board, if my lazy butt got to it in time. Yes, by the way, I'm posting in future tense. As I post this now, everything's still being worked on, but you know what? We'll deal.

It was a cold afternoon and despite the snow on the ground outside, it was one of those strange winter days when the sun still shone brightly across the ground. You could sit down outside, but where your body would become cold from the ground, your face could stay warm in the rays of the sun. Unfortunately this meant that all of the slight more upbeat people at school were enjoying the strange weather split, and the atmosphere in the grounds was almost suffocating. Do Dante came inside from the walk he had been intending to take in the free afternoon he had, shoving his hands into the pockets of his jeans to warm them up a little.
Though the entrance hall was mostly deserted, there was still some sort of excitement ripping through the silence, left behind by those people who had left for the grounds through the doors Dante now closed behind him. There was one other person in the entrance hall however, and a slight grin appeared on his face as he realised who it was, his friend Jenny, same house, same year. He took his still slightly cold hands from his pockets and walked up behind her, placing his hands over her eyes and whispering "Guess who," into her ear, resisting the urge to laugh. Nobody was sure to enjoy someone putting cold hands on their face.

The strangest of winter days fascinates Jenny. Its one of those days where its still freezing ice cold outside, and yet the sun is shining like its the middle of June. Jenny had just come down to see if it was really that cold, because it didn't seem like the ice was melting. As soon as she reached the door she decide against going outside.
"Jenny!" Jenny whipped her head around to see who had called her, but the remainder of people still in the Entrance Hall weren't looking toward here. She turned around once more, but no one looked to her.
Jenny shrugged and stared at the wall. Just then a pair of freezing hands covered her eyes. Her heart stopped and she gave a small gasp.
"Guess who," a husky voice said into her ear.
Jenny whipped her head around and came face to face with an old friend, Dante. She laughed, putting a hand over her chest.
"Well hello to you too. Next time try not to frighten me to death please." Jenny said jokingly.

"Hey, you didn't guess.." He said with a laugh as he got the reaction he was expecting. "So, no. Next time I will still be trying."
Dante shook his dark hair from his eyes briefly on realising the wind had caused it to look a little dishevelled, before speaking again. "So how are you today then Miss Tower?" He said with a smile, taking a little step back in order to look her over properly.
He hadn't seen Jenny around recently, and it was good to see her again. Though he was slightly confused as to why he hadn't seen her around, since they were in the same year and all, but then he had been rather pre-occupied with all of the drama that seemed to stalk him like a lion hunting its prey.

"Well my bad. I was a little preoccupied with slowing my heart rate down." Jenny laughed.
Dante shook his dark hair, and Jenny couldn't help but notice it making him look a little scattered. Jenny then felt a tightness in her own head. She took down her ponytail and shook out her long black hair over her shoulders.
"So how are you today then Miss Tower?" Dante said, he took a small step back.
"Why just fine. My nose is freezing, but that's normal." Jenny smiled. She gave a little twirl and smiled.

"You should wear your hair like that more often," he commented with a smile as she shook her hair out, smiling a little as she twirled.
"How is that normal?" He said with an amused look on his face, "Just your nose? I wouldn't say it was, to be honest."
He moved to sit on a nearby bench, figuring that it would probably make more sense to sit out of the way rather than stand in the middle of the hallway, it would probably only irritate people and he'd had enough drama for a lifetime, almost.
"Not too bad. Been worse, been better," he said with a slight grin before shrugging, "Can't wait to leave."

"You should wear your hair like that more often," Dante commented with a smile. Jenny blushed. She wasn't used to complements, but still found it sweet when she got one.
"Only because you say so." Jenny replied. "Well actually it is normal for me because if my nose is cold, then the rest of me is. Well it makes more sense in my mind."
Dante moved to sit on a nearby bench, and at first Jenny thought he was just up and leaving. When she realized that he was just sitting down, she relaxed a little and took a seat next to him.
"Not too bad. Been worse, been better," he said with a slight grin before shrugging, "Can't wait to leave."
"Really?" Jenny asked in disbelief. "I don't want to leave, I've gotten so comfortable here, and all of my friends, and my brothers and sisters. We actually get along here. I guess its because we're away from home." Immediately, her thoughts rushed to her father. She pushed him to the far back corner of her mind. When he left the second time, she promised herself that she wouldn't waste more than thirty seconds of her life thinking about him. And she hasn't broken that promise yet.

Only because you say so "And I am always right," he said with a slight laugh before she spoke again, giving a little bit of a shrug. "Thoughts like that always seem to," he mused as she said how it made more sense in her mind.
He leant back against the wall next to which the bench was placed, listening to her words, "It's been an odd year." He said with a slight air of nostalgia, "Kind of sick of the place, in a way. It's been like a home, everyone says that, but I don't know...just feel sort of weird about it, y'know?"
Though he didn't really expect her to know, since he barely did himself. Part of him didn't really want the year to end because so many things were still left undone, but then nothing really seemed worth it in the end. Perhaps he was just reverting back to his apathetic old self.

He had leaned his back against the wall and Jenny watched him as she spoke, and as he spoke. She nodded in agreement. "If you can actually believe it, I know what your talking about. Sometimes, you could love a place so much, that your sick of it. I just love it, because I have friends here that I don't want to give up. Even though, I can't wait to see what I have to offer outside of Hogwarts besides just my looks. I have a brain to." Jenny said sitting up straighter, then she laughed as she realized how much of a book she sounded like.
Jenny played with her fingers. An old habit she used to do when she had something on her mind, but couldn't quite figure out what it was. She looked at the people gathered around the Entrance Hall, sighed, and leaned against the wall like Dante had.

He ran a hand through his hair as he listened to her, a slight smile on his lips as she spoke, realising just how close her own feelings about the school were to his own. He almost laughed as she said how she wanted to see what else she had to offer aside from her looks. "I didn't know you had a brain," he said jokingly, before speaking again, a little more seriously. "What do you think you'll do after this?" He asked. His choice was easy, go into the ministry and join the Order, there was no question there. At least that side of his life was sorted.
He watched as she played with her fingers and a small frown creased his brow. He had known her long enough to know that little habit. "Penny for your thoughts?" He said, with a slight smile.

"I didn't know you had a brain," Dante said jokingly. Jenny laughed, the biggest fake laugh she ever did. "Haha. Not funny." Jenny said, suddenly turning serious.
"What do you think you'll do after this?" He asked. Jenny had to think about this. Of course it's been on her mind, but she hasn't quite made up her mind. "I'm stuck between being an Auror, or a teacher." Jenny laughed at the differences.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Dante said suddenly, Jenny looked up to see him with a slight smile on his face and a creased brow. She looked down at her hands and without giving it a second thought, folded them in her lap. "You know me so well it's scary." Jenny said. "I was thinking about my dad actually. But I promised myself, the second time he left without saying goodbye, that I wouldn't think about him for more than thirty seconds. I haven't broken that promise yet, and I don't plan on starting now."
